Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Soundcheck, a web application accessible at https://runsoundcheck.com (the "Service"). The Service is operated by PMF Consulting, a partnership firm registered in India ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

Soundcheck generates AI-powered pre-meeting intelligence briefs. You provide a name and optional context (company, meeting purpose, LinkedIn screenshots), and the Service uses third-party large language models combined with public web search to produce a one-page brief summarizing publicly available information about the subject.

The Service is intended for legitimate pre-meeting preparation: coffee chats, investor meetings, sales calls, recruiting conversations, journalism, and similar professional contexts.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from users under 18.

3. Account and Access

Soundcheck offers two tiers of access:

Free tier. You may generate up to three briefs in total. The cap applies whether you are signed in or browsing anonymously. Anonymous briefs you generate before signing in count toward this cap. After three briefs, you must subscribe to the paid tier to continue.

Paid tier. Paid subscriptions are billed at $9.99 USD per month and allow up to 25 briefs per calendar month. Paid access is described in Section 6.

Accounts are authenticated via single-use magic links delivered by email. You are responsible for the security of the email address associated with your account. We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from compromised email accounts.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Research minors (anyone under 18).
  • Investigate, surveil, or compile information about individuals for the purpose of stalking, harassment, intimidation, doxxing, or other unlawful purposes, notwithstanding the Service's name.
  • Make hiring, lending, housing, insurance, or other consequential decisions about individuals based solely on Service output. The Service is decision-support, not a decision-making system.
  • Circumvent the free tier limit through automation, multiple accounts, repeated browser cookie clearing, VPN-based bypass, or any other means.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or programmatically access the Service except through interfaces we expressly authorize.
  • Upload images that contain content protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights that you do not have authorization to share.
  • Submit input designed to manipulate the underlying AI model into producing harmful, defamatory, or unlawful output.
  • Resell, sublicense, or republish briefs as your own product or service.

Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of your access without refund.

5. User Submissions and AI-Generated Output

Your inputs. You retain ownership of any name, text, or images you submit. By submitting them, you grant us a limited license to process them solely for the purpose of generating your brief and operating the Service.

Briefs. Briefs are generated by AI based on publicly accessible information at the time of generation. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use briefs you generate for your own professional purposes. You may not republish, redistribute, or commercialize briefs as standalone content.

LinkedIn screenshots. If you upload screenshots of LinkedIn profiles, you represent that you accessed those profiles in compliance with LinkedIn's terms and applicable law. We do not store screenshots after the brief is generated; they are sent to the AI provider for processing and discarded.

6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions are processed through Razorpay. By subscribing, you agree to Razorpay's terms of service in addition to ours.

  • Pricing is $9.99 USD per month, billed monthly in advance.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Settlement to PMF Consulting is in INR via Razorpay International. You will be charged in USD by your card issuer; your bank's foreign transaction fee, if any, is not refundable by us.
  • Refunds are governed by our separate Refund and Cancellation Policy, available at https://runsoundcheck.com/refund-policy.

We reserve the right to change pricing on 30 days' written notice to active subscribers. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.

7. AI Output Disclaimers

Briefs are generated by large language models drawing on web search results. Despite our prompt design and quality controls, AI-generated output may:

  • Contain factual errors, outdated information, or misattributed quotes.
  • Combine information from multiple sources in ways that misrepresent the subject.
  • Reflect biases present in source material or model training data.
  • Present time-displaced information (events true at one time presented as currently true).

You are solely responsible for verifying any specific claim before relying on it. We make no warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose with respect to brief content. Do not use brief content as evidence in legal, financial, hiring, lending, or other formal proceedings.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, source code, prompts, user interface, and branding (including the name "Soundcheck"), is owned by PMF Consulting and protected by Indian and international intellectual property law. You receive no rights to our intellectual property except as expressly granted in these Terms.

9. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy at https://runsoundcheck.com/privacy. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described there.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if continued service creates legal or operational risk for us, or if we cease offering the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, and 14) will survive.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that brief content will be accurate or complete.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will PMF Consulting, its partners, employees, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).

These limits apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PMF Consulting and its partners, employees, and service providers from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, in English, by a single arbitrator. The decision of the arbitrator will be final and binding. Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PMF Consulting regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
